The concept and curation of “In Between” is the product of collaboration between two women artists, who happen to be an Arab and a pro-peace Israeli. Curated by Asmaa Alanbari and Eden Lazaness,  this exhibition brings together artists from the UK and the Middle East in a subtle but assertive demonstration that art and life are stronger than conflict and extremism.

The artworks are about going beyond boundaries. We are all on a personal journey, from where we are now to where we would like to go.; the interesting part of the journey is the state of in between – the crossing over, the spaces and places we go through – in order to get somewhere better. Embracing the many mediums art can take, from painting to video, sculpture and installation, the types of boundaries addressed in the show range from cultural to physical and the psychological.
