‘Housed’ Chelsea alumni ‘Connect’ with Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Poland for arts/culture exchange

About Connect:Katowice

There’s an exciting new arts and culture exchange developing to “Connect:Katowice” to London in which UK-based Chelsea alumni and Polish artists (from Academy of Fine Arts, Katowice [Akademia Sztuk Pięknych w Katowicach]) will collaborate over the next year, culminating in exhibitions this Autumn 2016 and a proposed arts festival Spring 2017.

The current list of UK-based artists are:  Paul Abbott, Marilyn Collins, Sarah Faulkner, Kelise Franclemont, Joseph Lichy, Shadi Mahsa, Regan O’Callaghan, Alex Roberts, Jonathan Slaughter, Laura Solomons, Louise Wheeler, Michael Williams, and Adam Zoltowski

UK curators of Connect: Katowice are:  Oxana Smirnova and Fabian Strobel

And in Poland the curator and ASP coordinator is: Pawel Mendrek

About Housed:Cookhouse

Connect:Katowice is a follow-on from Housed:Cookhouse, a collaboration between MA Fine Art and MA Curating & Collections, which took place in Chelsea’s Cookhouse space in April 2015.

Participating artists  from MA Fine Art: Paul Abbott, Sarah Faulkner, Kelise Franclemont, Joseph Lichy, Regan O’Callaghan, Shadi Mahsa, Alex Roberts, Jonathan Slaughter, Laura Solomons, Louise Wheeler, Michael Williams, and Saeideh Yazea
