Wednesday 16th March: Drag Queen Panel with Grayson Perry, Banqueting Hall, 7.30pm
This week-long drag festival is a student revolution that aims to be utterly fabulous; to queer the heteronormative arena of Pimlico where Kings, Queens, Divas, Bears, lesbians, bisexuals, asexuals, queers, curious people and all those without a label unite to discuss drag and gender identity in an open forum.
Split between the opulent riverside view of the Banqueting Hall and the underground vibe of the Punctum gallery, this glitter-festooned programme of creative events is not to be missed and a week-long exhibition with world renowned artists dedicated to drag in the Punctum Gallery.
The first drag panel, “Drag Queens“, will be launched by Turner Prize-winning artist and Chancellor of UAL Grayson Perry on Wednesday 16 March. The panel will also include Brian Dawn Chalkley, Jacob Bird, Amrou: Glamrou and Brian Britton.
This will be followed by a special Drag King panel on 17 March and Drag Cabaret on the 18 March, both in the Punctum Gallery. Attendance for these events is free.
